Eight years of full stack work in React, Java, and SQL. Lately more of it spent leading project direction and mentoring the engineers alongside me. I'm looking for my next role in engineering management, product, or as a senior engineer.

How I work

Where my time goes beyond writing code.

Leading projects

Taking a project from a vague ask to sequenced, broken-down work — scoping it, making the architecture calls, and clearing the path for the people building it.

Mentoring and onboarding

Getting new engineers up to speed on the codebase, and sticking around to answer questions afterwards. I try to make code review feel like teaching rather than a gate.

Working across functions

Partnering with design and QA to get something shipped rather than merely finished, and interviewing the candidates who'll join us next.

A little more

I'm a full stack engineer with eight years of experience, mostly building web applications in React. I've worked up and down the stack in Java, SQL, and NoSQL, and built mobile architecture with React Native too. Lately I've transitioned into more of a mentorship role, getting new team members up to speed and being the person to come to when things get difficult.

The projects on this site are various things that have annoyed me in my day to day life that I decided to make an app to fix. I also am actively developing my own MMO, hopefully to be released soon! I own all of the development on it, and have architected it from the ground up.

Building this portfolio also gave me somewhere to keep track of my crafts. I sew, embroider, knit, crochet, and paint.
